Cain's gets Felker and Crockett

Two of the biggest names in country put on one show at Cain's on Wednesday, August 26. Friday splits four ways across Cain's, the Mabee Center, the Osage and a Stillwater dancehall. FC Tulsa is back at ONEOK Field on Saturday.

The one thing

Evan Felker and Charley Crockett share one stage at Cain's Ballroom on Wednesday, August 26. Doors at 6:30 pm, music at 7:30 pm, with Jaid Joice opening. Felker fronts the Turnpike Troubadours, and there is no room in the country where that means more than this one. Crockett is out on his Age of the Ram tour, the record that closes his Sagebrush Trilogy, and he came into 2026 with a Grammy nomination for best traditional country album for Dollar a Day. He has also said, out loud and more than once, that he would hand that nomination over if it meant Turnpike got one instead. Two headliners of this size usually do not land on the same bill, and almost never on a Wednesday. Go on a weeknight and thank yourself later.

Live music and comedy

Friday, August 28 is the pileup. Four rooms, four completely different nights, and you can only pick one.

Drivin N Cryin play The Vanguard on Wednesday, August 26 at 8 pm.
Asleep at the Wheel play Cain's Ballroom on Friday, August 28 at 7:30 pm, with the Red Dirt Rangers opening. Ray Benson has kept western swing alive since 1970, the current run is billed as a Route 66 centennial tour, and Cain's is the building where Bob Wills made the music famous. The pieces fit.
Don McLean plays the Mabee Center on Friday, August 28 at 7:30 pm. American Pie turns 55 this year, and he is out marking it.
Grand Funk Railroad play the Osage Event Center on Friday, August 28 at 8 pm.
Jason Boland & The Stragglers play Tumbleweed Dancehall on Friday, August 28 at 9:30 pm. Boland put this band together in Stillwater in 1998, so an hour down the turnpike gets you a homecoming.
The Burnt CDs play The Vanguard on Friday, August 28 at 9 pm. Nothing but 2000s, all night.
Cody Smith is at Bricktown Comedy Club on Saturday, August 29 at 4 pm, an early seat if the rest of your night is booked.
Andy Grammer plays Hard Rock Live on Saturday, August 29 at 8 pm, part of a Pop Night the casino is running across several rooms.
That 90s Party takes over Cain's Ballroom on Saturday, August 29 at 7:30 pm.
Dead Metal Society play The Vanguard on Saturday, August 29 at 9 pm.
Yacht Rock Review lands at the Muskogee Civic Center on Saturday, August 29 at 7 pm, doors at 6. The Civic Center is billing the night as Yacht Rockin' with Reversing Radio and Friends.
The Browning play The Vanguard on Sunday, August 30 at 7 pm on the Burn This World tour.
Olivia Carter closes the week at Bricktown Comedy Club on Sunday, August 30 at 6 pm.

Festivals and free stuff

Maker Faire Tulsa fills the Exchange Center at Expo Square on Saturday, August 29 from 10 am to 5 pm. This is the fourteenth year, with more than 150 makers, inventors and demonstrations, and it is free to walk in. Registering ahead costs nothing and helps them plan the floor.
The Tulsa Farmers' Market is at 1 South Lewis on Saturday, August 29 from 7 to 11 am, with the midweek market on Wednesday morning. Late August is peak tomato and pepper season, so go early while it is still cool.
Rock the Block is a free neighborhood party at 3515 South Harvard on Sunday, August 30 from 6 to 7:30 pm, hosted by Christ Church on Harvard. Indianapolis Avenue closes between 35th and 36th from 4:30 pm, so plan the drive around it.

Sports

The Tulsa Drillers are on the road all week after wrapping their long August homestand, and they leave town with the best record in the Texas League North. Their last home games of the regular season come the following weekend, Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6 against the Wichita Wind Surge over Labor Day. If you have been meaning to get out to ONEOK Field this summer, that is the last call. FC Tulsa is the one downtown ticket this week. They host Rhode Island FC at ONEOK Field on Saturday, August 29 at 7:30 pm for Back to School Night, with a school supply drive at the gates and the match on CW.

On the horizon

September opens loud. Rocklahoma runs Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6 out at Pryor Creek, with Godsmack, Slayer, Papa Roach, Stone Temple Pilots, Cypress Hill, Dropkick Murphys, Black Label Society and The Pretty Reckless spread across three days. Closer in, Hazlett is at The Vanguard on Tuesday, September 1, Terri Clark plays Hard Rock Live on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4, and Gladys Knight follows her into the same room on Saturday, September 5. Los Tigres del Norte headline The Cove that same Saturday night. Eddie Griffin runs four shows at Bricktown Comedy Club on September 4 and 5. Full rundown next Monday.
