About Los Tigres del Norte
Norteno legends and the storytellers of a people.
Los Tigres del Norte are one of the most important groups in all of Latin music. Formed in San Jose, California in 1968 by a family of young immigrants from Mexico, they built norteno into a force, telling the stories of working people, the border, and life between two countries in their corridos.
Across more than five decades they have won a stack of Grammys and Latin Grammys, sold tens of millions of records, and turned songs like La Jaula de Oro, La Puerta Negra, and Jefe de Jefes into anthems that fans know word for word. Few bands carry that kind of meaning for an audience.
Live, it is accordion, bajo sexto, and a crowd singing every corrido back across generations. When Los Tigres del Norte play Tulsa, expect a packed, joyful room and a celebration of music that has soundtracked millions of lives.
