About Evan Felker
Two headliners, one Cain's stage.
Evan Felker and Charley Crockett are playing the same show, on the same stage, on a Wednesday. That is the whole story and it is enough. Felker fronts the Turnpike Troubadours, a band whose name carries more weight in this state than almost any other, and Crockett arrived in 2026 with a Grammy nomination for best traditional country album for Dollar a Day and a new record called Age of the Ram that closes out his Sagebrush Trilogy.
Crockett has never been shy about where he got it from. He has said publicly that he would trade his own nomination if it meant Turnpike finally got one, which is not the sort of thing artists usually say about their peers. Watching the two of them work the same room is the point of the night, and Jaid Joice opens.
Doors are at Cain's Ballroom on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 6:30 pm with music at 7:30. Cain's has been standing in the Arts District since the 1920s and made its name as the home of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, which makes it the correct address for this particular bill. Bills like this do not usually fall on a weeknight. Take the Wednesday.
