About Jay Sean
Down was only the start.
Down, with Lil Wayne, went to number one in 2009 and made Jay Sean the first British Asian artist to do it in America. Almost twenty years later he is still the reference point for a whole generation of singers who came after him.
The new album is called Last Call, previewed by Heartless with Ikky and Piche Piche with Jai Dhir, the second of which moves between Punjabi, Hindi and English over an R and B groove. He also co-founded a label, 3AM Entertainment, specifically to help South Asian artists break through globally, which is the part of his story that will outlast the chart run.
He plays the Oklahoma Stage at the Tulsa State Fair on October 4, 2026 at 7:30 pm. A Sunday night at the fair with a pop catalog this deep is a genuinely fun crowd, and the singalongs take care of themselves.
