About Colt Ford
Colt Ford is back onstage.
Two and a half years ago Colt Ford had a heart attack after a show in Arizona. He has said since that his heart stopped three times and that he had to learn to walk again. He came back to touring in 2025, and he plays the Oklahoma Stage at the Tulsa State Fair on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 7:30 pm.
He is not coasting on the comeback either. HANDFUL, a five song EP, came out on September 18, 2026 with Country Don't as the lead track, and it carries his cover of LL Cool J's Mama Said Knock You Out. That song choice tells you a lot about Colt Ford.
He has spent his whole career putting country and hip hop in the same room, on his own label, Average Joes, long before that was a common thing to do. A fair crowd at Expo Square is the right audience for it, part barn and part block party.
