About 49 Winchester
Change of Plans, played loud.
Change of Plans came out on May 15, 2026 on Lucille Records and MCA, and Dave Cobb produced it. Cobb has made records with Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell, and what he did here was give 49 Winchester more room without sanding down the ragged edges that made people care in the first place.
The band spent this year on two very different runs, the Welcome to the Holler tour through Europe and the Free the Machine tour opening for Eric Church across the United States. Arena stages have not softened them. They still sound like five guys from southwest Virginia who learned these songs in small rooms.
They play the Oklahoma Stage at the Tulsa State Fair on October 2, 2026 at 7:30 pm, night two of the eleven day run at Expo Square. Their previous album, Leavin' This Holler, is where most Oklahoma fans found them, and those songs still close out the set.
