About Yacht Rock the Dock

The originals, not a tribute.

Ambrosia, John Ford Coley, Peter Beckett of Player, Walter Egan and Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass. That is the bill, and every one of those names is on the original record. Yacht Rock the Dock is a package tour of the people who made the songs, which is a different proposition from a tribute band in matching captain's hats.

The catalog on offer is absurd for one ticket. How Much I Feel and Biggest Part of Me from Ambrosia, Magnet and Steel from Egan, which went gold and hit number eight in 1978, and Brandy from Lurie, a number one in 1972. Smooth music, played by people who have had fifty years to figure out how to play it.

The show is at Hard Rock Live on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 8 pm. Hard Rock sits out in Catoosa, twenty minutes east of downtown, so parking is free and plentiful, which is not something you can say about anything happening in the Arts District that night.
