Wilco are one of the most respected American bands of the last thirty years. Led by Jeff Tweedy, the Chicago group grew out of alt country into something far stranger and richer, peaking with the landmark Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, a record that turned studio experiments into beautiful songs.
Across a deep catalog they have moved between folk, noise, pop, and country without ever losing the melody, anchored by Tweedy's writing and Nels Cline's adventurous guitar. They are a band that critics and fans both treasure.
Live, Wilco are loose and exploratory, capable of a quiet ballad or a long, squalling jam. Headlining Cain's Ballroom, a room with real history, suits them perfectly.
