SpongeBob's voice leads a soul revue.
The voice of SpongeBob SquarePants has a band, and it is a real one. Tom Kenny, the Emmy winning voice actor, fronts the Hi-Seas, a rock and soul revue loaded with horns and harmony singers.
The Hi-Seas play vintage R&B and rock and roll, the songs of Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke, and the Righteous Brothers, with a trio of singers adding glamour and harmony. Kenny trades the recording booth for a vintage mic and leads the whole thing like an old school bandleader.
The Vanguard is a small club in the Tulsa Arts District, close quarters and loud. A twelve piece party band in a room that size is a lot of fun.
