The Boxmasters are a real, working rock and roll band, founded in 2007 by actor Billy Bob Thornton and Grammy winning engineer J.D. Andrew. Their thing is the sound of the 1960s, jangly guitars and tight harmonies that nod to the Beatles, the Byrds, and the Beach Boys, with a wide streak of Americana and country underneath.
They are seriously prolific, with a deep catalog of albums, and they have earned real respect on the road, even opening for The Who in 2025. This is a band, not a vanity project.
