The Black Crowes burst out of Atlanta in 1990 with Shake Your Money Maker, a debut full of swaggering, bluesy rock and roll that sold millions on the back of Hard to Handle and the ballad She Talks to Angels. They quickly became one of the defining rock bands of their era.
Built around the combustible Robinson brothers, Chris and Rich, the band made loose, soulful, Stones indebted rock and roll, then split for years before reuniting in 2019. Their 2024 comeback Happiness Bastards earned a Grammy nomination and proved they still had it, and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nod soon followed.
