About The Bad Plus
A jazz farewell, one last time.
The Bad Plus are saying goodbye. After 27 years, the band announced in January 2026 that they will disband by the end of the year, which makes this one of the last chances to catch them.
The Bad Plus built a reputation for jazz that would not sit still, original tunes alongside wild takes on rock songs, all played with the punch of a power trio. The current lineup pairs founders Reid Anderson and Dave King with guitarist Ben Monder and saxophonist Chris Speed.
LowDown is an intimate jazz room, close enough to see every move a player makes. For a farewell show from a band this inventive, it is the right kind of place.
