About Staind
Nu metal era heavyweights behind It's Been Awhile.
Staind were one of the biggest rock bands of the early 2000s, a heavy, brooding group fronted by Aaron Lewis. Their 2001 album Break the Cycle went five times platinum and produced It's Been Awhile, a song that spent twenty weeks at number one on rock radio and still defines the era.
They came up in the nu metal and post grunge wave but set themselves apart with raw, confessional songwriting, from Outside to So Far Away. After a long hiatus the band came back together, and they sound as heavy and as honest as ever.
Now they are out celebrating twenty five years of Break the Cycle, playing the album that made their name. When Staind headline Tulsa, expect a loud, cathartic night of songs a whole generation knows by heart.
