From the 1986 landmark Reign in Blood on, they built a catalog of fast, brutal, uncompromising music, with Angel of Death and Raining Blood as calling cards.
Led by Kerry King and Tom Araya, they spent decades as the heaviest band on almost any bill, then played a farewell tour and called it a career in 2019.
