About Preservation Hall Jazz Band
New Orleans comes to Stillwater.
Preservation Hall Jazz Band play the McKnight Center at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 7:30 pm. It is about an hour from Tulsa, and it is a return trip for the band, who played the room on January 30, 2020, in its very first season.
The band carries the name of the little hall on St. Peter Street in the French Quarter, where traditional New Orleans jazz has been played every night for decades. Their newest album, Preservation Brass For Fat Man, honors the late percussionist Kerry Hunter and was nominated for Best Regional Roots Music Album at the 68th Grammys.
The McKnight Center sells its own tickets, so buy through the box office. Expect horns, a second line feel, and a crowd that will not stay seated for long.
