Paul Schalda is a singer and songwriter with a warm, weathered voice and a long, winding road behind him. He came up in a Staten Island hardcore band, later played guitar for the late soul great Charles Bradley, and has spent years writing his own reflective, soulful songs.
His music carries that lived in quality, soul and roots rock filtered through real miles. Built To Spill, who he opens for, were one of the bands that first made him want to write songs at all.
