About Houndmouth
Roots rock and indie heart from southern Indiana.
Houndmouth are a roots rock band from New Albany, Indiana, just across the river from Louisville. Formed in 2011, they mix barroom rock and roll, folk, and indie pop into something warm and ramshackle, built on trading vocals and big group harmonies.
They broke through with Sedona, a hazy, hooky single that became a modern indie staple, off a catalog that runs from From the Hills Below the City to Little Neon Limelight and Good for You. It is warm music with a melancholy streak running underneath.
Live, Houndmouth is loose and joyful, a band that sounds like friends playing for a room. Headlining Cain's Ballroom suits them perfectly.
