Houndmouth are a roots rock band from New Albany, Indiana, just across the river from Louisville. Formed in 2011, they mix barroom rock and roll, folk, and indie pop into something warm and ramshackle, built on trading vocals and big group harmonies.
They broke through with Sedona, a hazy, hooky single that became a modern indie staple, off a catalog that runs from From the Hills Below the City to Little Neon Limelight and Good for You. It is warm music with a melancholy streak running underneath.
