About Hoobastank
The 2000s rock band behind the megahit The Reason.
Hoobastank are one of the defining rock bands of the early 2000s. The California group broke through with Crawling in the Dark and Running Away, then went supernova with The Reason in 2004, a power ballad that became one of the biggest songs of the decade and still turns up everywhere.
They came up in the same Southern California scene as Incubus and built their sound around big hooks and Doug Robb's voice. Years on, they still tour steadily, and they recently marked the twentieth anniversary of The Reason, the album that defined them.
Live, it is a nostalgic and energetic set heavy on the hits. On this Tulsa bill with Staind, Hoobastank give the crowd a run of songs they have known by heart for twenty years.
