Devourment are one of the heaviest bands in death metal, full stop. Formed in Dallas in 1995, they helped pioneer slam, a brutally heavy, groove driven strain of death metal, and decades of relentless intensity have made them legends of the underground.
Through several reformations they have kept the sound punishing and uncompromising, a favorite of extreme metal fans who like it as heavy as it gets. They are not for the faint of heart.
