About Daniel Donato
Cosmic country from a guitar prodigy.
Daniel Donato came up as a teenage guitar phenom on Lower Broadway in Nashville, playing Robert's Western World night after night. He turned that education into what he calls Cosmic Country, a blend of country, rock, bluegrass, and jam band looseness.
His 2025 album Horizons pushed the sound wider, and a live release, Ryman to Robert's, captures the band in full flight. On stage his playing is the main event, long and adventurous without ever losing the song.
Cain's Ballroom was built for country and western swing, so a Cosmic Country show there has a nice symmetry. It is a room that knows how to hold a crowd that came to dance.
