About Cole Phillips

Bridge Creek red dirt comes north.

Bridge Creek, Oklahoma is a town of a few thousand people south of Oklahoma City, and Cole Phillips has been writing about it since he was a teenager. His debut, No Town, Oklahoma, came out in 2024 while he was still one, and it is as autobiographical as the title suggests.

Things moved fast after that. WME signed him in 2025, the EP Steel Toes and Texacos followed the same year, and Roll of Dice arrived in 2026. The sound is red dirt with the sand still in it, closer to a bar band than a Nashville single, which is exactly why it travels well in this half of the state.

He plays the Vanguard on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 8 pm. The Vanguard sits on North Main between the Tulsa Theater and Cain's, so you are two doors from the Blue Whale festival crowd. Catch him here while the room is still this small.
