Cody Canada is Oklahoma red dirt royalty. As the frontman of Cross Canadian Ragweed, the band out of Yukon, Oklahoma, he helped build the whole red dirt movement, with rowdy, heartfelt songs that became gospel across the region. After Ragweed wound down, he formed the Departed to keep playing.
The Departed mix the Ragweed classics fans grew up on with new red dirt and rock, anchored by Canada's gritty voice and his longtime bassist Jeremy Plato. For an Oklahoma crowd, these are hometown songs.
